Ignition looking to cook up a storm with new brand

Cbeebies pre-school show Big Cook Little Cook joins agency's portfolio.

Ignition Licensing has signed up to represent Big Cook Little Cook in the UK.

Created by Top TV Productions, the pre-school brand launched on CBeebies in February 2004. The cookery series is made up of 100 x 20-minute episodes and currently airs twice a day on the channel. Activities from the show also feature in the CBeebies Weekly and Toybox magazines.

The show combines humour, problem solving, teamwork, story-telling and songs, encouraging children to have an active interest in food and to discover where food comes from.

The first DVD - We Love to Cook - gained the largest DVD sales since the Teletubbies and the show has a cult following on YouTube for both children and the student population. Licensing categories include toys and games, publishing, interactive, homewares, apparel and accessories and, of course, food.
