Imira Entertainment is continuing to bolster its Lucky Fred series, with a further four broadcasters signing up and plans to launch a cross-platform app.
The show - which follows the comic adventures of Fred, an ordinary 13 year-old boy who accidentally became the owner of a super-powered, shape-shifting robot - has already sold to over 155 territories worldwide.
New channels signing up include RTM in Malaysia, e-Vision in UAE, TG4 in Ireland and Kidz in Turkey.
They join broadcast partners including TF1 in France, Disney Channel in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, India, Israel and Australia, plus Nickelodeon in Benelux, Scandinavia, Latin America, Asia and South Korea.
In addition, Imira will be launching the Lucky Fred cross-platform app at MIPTV. This features a web and mobile-based interactive geo-localised aliens hunt for the whole family.
"We have had an incredible response from buyers to Lucky Fred," said Christophe Goldberger, producer and head of distribution and marketing at Imira. "The series has already launched in Benelux, Scandinavia, Spain and Latin America and it is achieving excellent ratings, so we are looking forward to introducing it to additional markets in the coming months.
"We are also very excited by the potential of the new app, which can be tailored to local towns and cities."
