Immediate Media launches LEGO Legends of Chima magazine

Immediate Media has launched the first LEGO Chima branded magazine.

The four-weekly title is aimed at seven to 11 year olds, uses LEGO imagery and design and is packed with comics telling the Legends of Chima story. Also included will be puzzles, quizzes, challenges, facts about the tribes and competitions, as well as showcasing LEGO toy products such as vehicles going head to head in battle.

Each month, LEGO Legends of Chima will carry a limited edition, original covermount. The launch issue comes with an Ewar figurine and eagle cannon.

The launch of the magazine has been supported with a consumer marketing campaign, bespoke branded POS packs for the top 7.5k independent stores and major retail multiples.

"Producing this exciting new title has been great fun and it will fit together perfectly with our pre-teen portfolio," said Martin Stahel, publisher of Immediate Media's pre-ten titles. "This interactive magazine offers great value for fans of this iconic toy and the fact that LEGO Chima is the second biggest new toy property in this year's entire toy market is an encouraging sign that it will be flying off the shelves."
