Imperial War Museums enters home and garden category

Imperial War Museums (IWM) has detailed its latest partnership with Crest Garden brand, Kent & Stowe.

The new deal will see the roll-out of Kent & Stowe’s new range of gifts for the home and garden, inspired by IWM’s collections.

Imagery and artwork taken from IWM’s range of Second World War propaganda will feature in the line.

“We are really excited to be partnering with Kent & Stowe and are looking forward to developing this new range of gifts,” said David Fenton, head of retail and admissions at IWM.

“IWM has been collecting items that explore the causes, course and consequences of war since 1917 and our unique collections help to tell the stories of people's spirit, resilience, creativity and innovation in the face of adversity.”

IMW hopes that the imagery used in the campaigns will encourage customers to grow their own vegetables in their own gardens.

All the items are set for release in retailers and garden centres form spring 2018.

Natalie Searle, head of marketing for Kent & Stowe, added: “The Dig For Victory campaign was the first one that caught my eye from the IWM collections, it reignited gardening and the concept of grow your own for a whole generation and this self-sufficiency was a major part of our victory in the Second World War.

“We’re really excited to be partnering up with the Imperial War Museums to launch a range of gardening gifts, that will inspire gardeners of today to re-discover the freedom gardening and self-sufficiency can bring, allowing them to sustain, grow and nurture for years to come.”
