It has notched up sales of over 1.6 million art prints and two million greeting cards in the UK, and now the Impossimals characters are to be turned into a pre-school TV animation.

Washington Green, which is the largest art publisher in Europe, is responsible for all current Impossimals fine art work. The characters were created by Peter Smith and his wife Jayne.

Ireland-based Telegael is the lead producer on the project, while SupperTime will participate in the development from a US perspective.

"We are very excited to be involved with such a great project, and were really impressed by the uniqueness of the designs," said Paul Cummins, CEO of Telegael.
