Ink Global has launched a new animated children show giving kids a look behind the scenes of the internet, titled The Mojicons.
Created by Russian animators Alexander Romanetz and Viacheslav Marchenko, the first series of the new animation will feature 52 episodes, all currently in production.
The Mojicons follows the adventures of the innumerable emoticons that live within texts and emails as they make their way haphazardly around the internet. When a mysterious digital villain steals the @ symbol, the Mojicons are tasked with thwarting his evil plans.
“We are always looking for projects that combine distinct originality with a really strong story, as this appeals not only to international media buyers, but most importantly to kids,” said Ink Global director, Claus Tomming.
“At Ink Global, we don’t represent a lot of shows as we value quality over quantity, but The Mojicons definitely fits the bill and will benefit from our long-term dedicated global cross-media plan for building a franchise.”
