Iron Man 2 campaign hits Turkey

Marvel teams with Turk Telekom for multi-platform marketing push.

Turkish telecommunication firm Turk Telekom has teamed up with Marvel to co-promote blockbuster film Iron Man 2.

As part of the deal, Turk Telekom will co-promote the film via television, banner and mobile ads to the Turkish population - 98 per cent of which watch TV on any given day and 88 per cent of which are heavy mobile internet users.

"The signing of this agreement marked a significant day in our history," said Marvel's Simon Philips. "We are pleased to tap into a region of the globe that is home to such a significant young population and we are excited to bring our legendary characters to their daily lives."

Dr Paul Doany, CEO of Turk Telekom, added: "Partnering with Marvel reinforces our leadership position in this region, while also providing Marvel access to a highly lucrative and fast growing market."
