ITV Studios readies for strong 2014

Firm prepares for the launch of Thunderbirds are Go in 2015

ITV Studios Global Entertainment is eyeing a strong 2014, following a year of significant brand representations and success with established brands throughout 2013.

The firm has announced the launch of its Classic Thunderbirds 50th anniversary plans and commenced the countdown to the new Thunderbirds are Go! TV series, both set to premiere in 2015.

ITV also signed a number of popular children's animations to its kids' network CiTV throughout the last year, including Cut the Rope.

ITVS GE manages the European licensing for the Cut the Rope property, and master toy licensee Vivid has already seen retail success with its line of collectables and push.

Toy Fair 2014 will see new and extended collection arriving to the UK, building on the property's success of last year.

Meanwhile, Digimon is returning to the children's network this year with a new series - Digimon Fusion - this spring.

Bandai, the property's master toy partner, is celebrating with the launch of an action toy line including collectables and Digi-Fusion action figures, plus an interactive Digi-Fusion loader appearing at Toy Fair.

Further CiTV activity includes the launch of series three of Platinum Film's Matt Hatter Chronicles this year.

The Simba Dickie Group and its UK subsidiary, Simba Smoby is launching its Matt Hatter Chronicles toy range at the London Toy Fair and the International Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg this year ahead of the retail launch and a wider rollout across EMEA in Q4 of 2014.

Finally, disco legends The Village People will be strutting on to the high street with a new merchandising programme inspired by new designer, 'Look'.

Targeting multiple demographics and generations, the brand will feature on products crossing fashion apparel, gifts, homewards, stationery, back to school ranges, games, apps and fashion accessories.
