ITV Studios Global Entertainment has added University Games to the licensee portfolio for Matt Hatter Chronicles.

The firm will produce a variety of games in a number of formats, with the range due to launch in autumn/winter 2014.

"This is a fantastic licence for Matt Hatter," said Trudi Hayward, SVP head of global merchandising, ITVS GE. "We knew that the ingenuity and excitement of the Matt Hatter adventures would be perfect for a range of games from the right licensing partner - and we certainly have the right partner in University Games."

Adrian Whyles, general manager at University Games, added: "The engrossing storylines that kids love from Matt Hatter Chronicles, along with the diverse realms of the Multiverse will be a marvellous inspiration for the games we plan to bring to market next year.

"We are looking forward immensely to bringing Matt, Roxie, Gomez and a whole host of super villains to life across an exciting new range of games."

University Games joins the likes of Simba Dickie Group, Penguin, Titan, Topps, Character World, Smith & Brooks, Trade Mark Collections, VMC, Pedigree and TDP Aykroyd in the Matt Hatter licensee stable.
