Jacqueline Wilson video game hits stores

P2 Games and Random House working on cross marketing initiatives for title.

The Jacqueline Wilson brand has been expanded further, with Tracy Beaker - The Game now available.

The popular author signed copies of the game at a joint in-store signing with her new book Hetty Feather at GAME's concession store in Borders, Bournemouth.

These copies were then given away in an exclusive competition online.

P2 Games has been working on a number of cross promotions with Random House, which publishes the Tracy Beaker books. A double-pack of the video game was packaged with the Tracy Beaker Quiz Book, while the game was also advertised in 100,000 reprints of the Tracy Beaker books, as well as on Random House's Jacqueline Wilson Fan Club newsletter.

"It has been great to work with Random House and Jacqueline Wilson on Tracy Beaker - The Game as they have embraced all of our ideas and provided significant support to this release," said Gerry Whiteside, MD of P2 Games.

Copyrights launched the Jacqueline Wilson licensing programme at Brand Licensing 2004 ? and pretty much immediately it became clear that this was going to be a brand with longevity. Portico had already enjoyed success with its stationery ranges in both Sainsbury?s and WH Smith, so ?Jacqueline Wilson: The Brand? was off to a good start.
