Sony/ATV has revealed that busy Jane Evans Licensing Consultancy will represent its licensing rights for the lyrics for the songs of a number of famous artists.

The Sony/ATV catalogue includes the words to successful numbers from artists including Lennon and McCartney, Grease and Bob Dylan among others. Indeed, the catalogue extends to over 700,000 songs.

Janice Brock, Sony/ATV senior VP UK operations, said: "We are very pleased to be partnering with Jane Evans Licensing and are confident that, with their network of contacts and European experience, the Sony/ATV licensing programme will soon expand in both the UK and overseas."

JELC is now looking for high profile partners to build on the current UK success with lyrics similar to those used so effectively in the Mothercare range of clothing, launched earlier this year.
