Jetix is hoping that it has hired the next generation of TV execs as part of its latest initiative.
After a two-month recruitment process, eight budding 'junior moguls' from across the country have been hand picked to form the first ever Jetix Kids Council.
The non-executive board members will offer feedback and help make decisions about the type of humour, characters, adverts and competitions they want to see on the Jetix channel.
Face to face meetings will be held twice a year, where they will be invited to voice their ideas. A virtual board room has also been designed to enable them to give feedback regularly between these appointments.
"We're constantly looking at new ways to listen and engage with our viewers so we're delighted this unique concept will deliver yet more fresh insight to Jetix," said Boel Ferguson, MD of Jetix UK. "This is our first year of the Jetix Kids Council but kids who missed out will get the chance again next year."
Eight year-old board member Michael Baker from Leeds added: "I'm really excited that I'll be helping make decisions about all the stuff I see on the Jetix channel and website."
