The Jim Henson Company has secured a deal with Rail Events to operate live entertainment based on its PBS show, Dinosaur Train.
Beginning from summer 2012, visitors to tourist railroads and railroad museums across the US and Canada will have the opportunity to meet Buddy the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
"Through this new partnership with the premier provider of licensed live events for tourist railroads and museums, thousands of children will get a very personal first-hand experience to interact with Buddy, discover new adventures aboard the train, and explore natural history and paleontology in themed play areas," said Melissa Segal, SVP of global consumer products at The Jim Henson Company.
Jon Schlegel, VP and general manager for Rail Events, added: "Dinosaur Train is a hit with pre-schoolers and their parents. We think this is a perfect addition to our live event offerings."
