The Jim Henson Company is heading into MIPTV with a raft of broadcast and home entertainment licensing deals signed for three of its properties.
First up, the firm has signed international deals with ABC Australia and TVNZ New Zealand for its TV2 network for pre-school puppetry series, Pajanimals. The show is currently airing exclusively in the US on Sprout.
Meanwhile, season one of Dinosaur Train has been licensed to Disney Channel in Germany, Nickelodeon in the UK, TVNZ New Zealand and Botswana Television. In addition, Discovery Kids Latin America, E-Vision in the United Arab Emirates and TVO Canada have all licensed season two.
Channel 1 in Russia has also picked up both series, while Romania's Empire Film has been awarded home entertainment DVD rights for season two.
Finally, season two of Sid the Science Kid has been snapped up by France 5, TVO Canada, Thai PBS and Discovery Kids Latin America. In addition, TVB Pearl in Hong Kong and One Batswana Television have picked up season one, while NOGA Israel has renewed its deal.
