The PR Executive will work on key brands including Thomas & Friends, Bob the Builder, Fireman Sam and Angelina Ballerina.
Reporting to Hit’s senior director of PR and communications, the successful candidate will work to present Hit and its brands to both the licensing and media communities (B2B) and consumers (B2C) in an informed and positive light via the media.
They will support PR campaigns across Hit’s lines of business, including TV sales, consumer products, live events and attractions with an underpinning objective of driving revenue for the corporation.
The PR executive will:
Implement PR strategies set by the senior director across all Hit brands (write media releases, pitch stories, organise interviews)
Respond to media requests about Hit and its brands (with approval where necessary from the senior director)
Maintain all PR/trade marketing systems and assets: press cuttings, media distribution lists, executive biographies, press kits, brand sheets, corporate fact sheet, image library, Hit press office website
Assist in the organising of events (internal – Hit Heads Up, external – press launches, premieres, trade shows etc)
Manage stakeholder relationships, internally with teams across the global Hit business and externally with media, PR agencies and partners (including licensees, broadcasters, charities)
The role also includes a small amount of internal comms and trade marketing.
The successful candidate should:
Have previous experience working within a busy press office, ideally within a broadcast or licensing company.
Be able to sense a story, generate ideas and successfully pitch them to journalists
Have a flair for writing and be capable of producing copy for both trade and consumer publications.
Be prepared to hit the ground running, with a positive “can do attitude”
