Joint venture to manage Chaotic in EMEA

4Kids sets up joint venture with TC Digital and Dracco Company to manage EMEA operations for Chaotic.

The newly formed company, TC Digital International, will have responsibility for sales and distribution, supply chain, marketing and communications and organised play in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the trading card game (TCG).

TC Digital Games will continue to manufacture the TCG and manage the website from its US base in San Diego, California.

Board Members of the new organization will include Sandra Vauthier-Cellier, managing director, 4Kids International; Bruce Foster, executive VP and chief financial officer, 4Kids Entertainment; Henrik Andersen, MD, Dracco Scandinavia and Bryan Gannon, president and CEO, TC Digital Games.

Day-to-day operations of the new company will be handled by Vauthier-Cellier, MD, Andersen, International sales director, Olivia Mellett, executive director of finance and operations, Ann Van Dam, senior brand manager and Natasha Walker, associate supply chain manager.

Chaotic is being rolled out across EMEA after firmly establishing itself in North America, where it has made a strong debut at retail.

During 2008, Chaotic was the number one selling TCG in Canada and was among the top five selling TCGs sold at mass retailers in the US.

Vauthier-Cellier said: “The new venture will allow for the more effective management of the Chaotic Trading Card Game across EMEA and enable the game to be driven forward in key European markets.”
