Key licences Ignite video games firm

George of the Jungle and Crayola join brand portfolio of multi-format publisher.

A strong mix of licences and original IP is the Holy Grail for publisher and developer Ignition Entertainment, which recently added two key kids’ franchises to its line-up.

The firm has signed the European rights to develop and publish games based on George of the Jungle and Crayola. Ignition has also recently inked publishing deals with Playlogic and Marvelous Entertainment to bring key properties to North America including Obscure: The Aftermath and classic games from the Bubble Bobble and New Zealand story brands.

At the same time, the company is also looking to develop original content, such as its new project Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys.

“We have been busy knocking on doors, meeting new partners, acquiring new properties and building out internal development – and you are now just starting to see the results of those efforts, but this is just the beginning,” explained Ajay Chadha, president of Ignition USA and co-founder of Ignition Entertainment.
