The global video content firm, Kedoo Entertainment has secured a raft of licensing and distribution partnerships for the animated children’s show, Booba.
The company has signed a worldwide multi-year distribution agreement with Netflix to commence airing the series on the SVOD platform this summer. In addition to this, season two of Booba has just been licensed to Monster Entertainment.
Monster will now offer a run of 52 four-minute episodes of Booba to broadcasters worldwide. It is currently aired on D Agostini’s Italy kids channels Super and DeA Junior, as well as Karusel in Russia.
Adding to the activity, Kedoo Entertainment has appointed Plus Licens as Booba’s licensing agent for the region, where it will build a local consumer products programme covering all major lines alongside promotional activities.
Licensed from 3D Sparrow, Booba follows the adventures of a 70cm tall creature who created chaos and entertainment. The character was first launched in 2016 on YouTube where it achieved two billion views, averaging at 90 million views a month.
