The joint venture channel owned by NBC Universal, Cookie Jar Group and Corus Entertainment, KidsCo, has secured an agreement with Marvista Entertainment to air a selection of animated movies across its western Europe feed.

The deal will see the channel broadcasting titles from Marvista's Burbank library including Anastasia, Beauty and the Beast, The Pied Piper, Cinderella (pictured) and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

"We are delighted by the addition of these fantastic animated movie titles to our library of family entertainment," said Paul Robinson, MD of KidsCo. "Movies are an integral component of KidsCo's schedule and provide an opportunity for children and adults to enjoy quality entertainment as a family group."

Fernando Szew, CEO of Marvista, added: "Our programming brings quality, educational entertainment to families and has been a staple for networks to build their programming blocks and brand and better define their niche."

Having launched just over a year ago, KidsCo has rapidly grown its distribution and is now available in over 40 territories.
