The joint venture channel owned by NBC Universal, DIC Entertainment and Corus, KidsCo has launched a dedicated branded international online store.
A key component of KidsCo's broader web strategy, the shop will feature branded items as well as themed generic product. It will offer the opportunity for partners to extend their product reach, presence and profile.
The store has been built by Internet TV Productions, one of the leading suppliers of online retail services in the entertainment sector. The launch will be supported by a comprehensive marketing drive, including TV spots across KidsCo's international feeds.
"As consumers become ever more sophisticated, we are finding that the online environment is proving to be a popular destination of choice amongst viewers, as evidenced by the positive flow of traffic to the KidsCo website," explained MD Paul Robinson.
"We have exciting plans for KidsCo online and the launch of our ecommerce facility is part of a broader web strategy going forward."
It is anticipated that KidsCo will be broadcasting in up to 40 territories, including Europe and Latin America, within the next 18 months.
