Kidscreen Award winners revealed

The winners of the 2010 Kidscreen Awards have been unveiled as part of its annual summit in New York.

Sesame Workshop was one of the big winners, walking off with the Best Animated Series and Best Non-Animated or Mixed Series in the Pre-school category for Bert & Ernie and Sesame Street respectively.

Bert & Ernie was also voted as the Best Pre-school Programme of 2010 in the Viewers Choice category.

The firm also scooped the Best Companion Website and Best Music for The Electric Company.

Elsewhere, BBC Children's Newsround was awarded the Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie in the kids category and Best Writing 2010.

Kindle Entertainment's Dustbin Baby won Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie in the family category and Best Acting, while Cookie Jar scooped Best Kids Programme in Viewers Choice for Arthur.
