The KidScreen Summit will be celebrating its ninth year in 2008, with the conference boasting an extensive programme on building global entertainment brands.

New for next year's Summit will be a Consumer Products Forum, a Kid Insight Track and a Multiplatform Mania Track. Highlights from the three-day programme will include the favourite 30 Minutes With session (featuring more international broadcasters than ever), Speed Pitching and a special Pitch It! competition featuring projects themed around health and fitness.

"The business model for kids TV properties is continually changing and the days when a good idea was enough to get a show on air are long gone," said Jocelyn Christie, director of events at KidScreen. "With that in mind, the conference aims to focus on the key elements that can take a great project and make it into a global brand, across TV, multimedia platforms and licensing and merchandising."

KidScreen Summit 2007 attracted more than 1,300 executives from around the world, with 803 companies, 200+ buyers and 142 licensing execs making the trip.

The 2008 conference will run from February 13th to 15th at the Hilton New York.
