Kindle Entertainment and digital media production firm Plug-in Media have been commissioned by the BBC to produce two online games based on Kindle's Leonardo and Get Well Soon series.

The Leonardo game is in a 3D chase format which will be available to play on the CBBC website. The narrative of the game is introduced in the form of an interactive comic strip featuring the show's characters and leading players.

Meanwhile, the Get Well Soon game will be available on the Cbeebies website, and enables pre-schoolers to learn about childhood illness in an informative way.

"The kids market has always been a competitive one and in today's day and age, with a tech-savvy children's audience to please, this is truer than ever," said Melanie Stokes, founder and co-director of Kindle Entertainment. "To meet this demand it is important to create content that can travel across multiple platforms, enabling childrn to engage with a property whenever they want."

Juliet Tzabar, MD of Plug-in Media, added: "We're delighted to be working with Kindle again, following our BAFTA-winning collaboration on Big and Small. Both Leonardo and Get Well Soon are fantastic TV formats and our games place audiences in a position where they can interact with the characters they know from the television and extend their engagement with the brands, whilst having lots of fun."
