Spellbound Entertainment has signed two new broadcast deals in Italy for the Koala Brothers.
State broadcaster RAI 2 has bought the first thre series plus the 46 minute Christmas special, The Koala Brothers Outback Christmas. The deal was brokered by Lilium Distribution.
Disney Channel in Italy has also taken cable and satellite rights for the series and has signed up for all 78 of the ten-minute episodes plus the Christmas special.
Spellbound is also close to finalizing a deal for home entertainment in the region and is currently in talks with a number of Italian publishers and toy companies.
Other categories expected to launch next year include puzzles and games, backpacks, stationery and apparel. Further partners will be announced shortly.
The Koala Brothers was originally commissioned by CBBC in the UK and has now been acquired by 60 broadcasters covering over 155 territories worldwide.
