Kohl's to unveil exclusive American Idol collection

US chain teams with FME and Bravado for new fashion brand, Authentic Icon.

US department store chain Kohl's is launching an exclusive new American Idol apparel collection.

The store has teamed up with FremantleMedia Enterprises, 19 Entertainment, LF USA and Bravado to bring together fashion, music and entertainment with the new Authentic Icon brand.

Positioned in the junior and young men's departments, the AI spring collection will be available in Kohl's stores from April through June to coincide with American Idol's 11th season.

"This launch brings together a national retailer and award winning television show to create a new collection for customers," said Kevin Mansell, Kohl's chairman, president and CEO. "We are excited to collaborate with American Idol, a leading entertainment platform in pop culture, and are confident this partnership makes Kohl's an immediate consumer destination this spring."

David Luner, EVP of consumer products and interactive at FME, added: "It was a natural extension to partner on a line of American Idol inspired apparel that captures the essence of our rich music, style and performance heritage."
