Kurio snaps up Alligator apps

Children?s publisher apps will feature on InspirationWorks new kids? tablet.

Kids’ Android tablet Kurio has struck a deal with publisher Alligator Books to get apps pre-installed on the device.

Game apps include Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja and Doodle Jump. There will also be Alligator’s Girls Colour and Boys Colour apps as well as the new Me to You app, based on the popular Carte Blanche property.

The apps have been developed by Fairplay New Media under the Alligator Creative Play brand. The expansion project has been managed by AT New Media.

“The Kurio is a major new launch and is set to have a big impact, so it is very exciting that the Alligator Creative Play apps will feature on the device,” said Simon Kay, CEO of AT New Media. 

“This adds to the positive buzz that has greeted Alligator’s move into the digital sphere, a process we have been a big part of thanks to an operation that is totally dedicated to games, gaming, or digital content.”

InspirationWorks UK marketing director Tracey Devine added: “I am delighted to be working with Alligator on this project, as it forms part of our mutual long term ambitions to offer fun engaging interactive experiences for children.”
