The first Flip (Future LIMA Industry Professionals) networking event for 2012 proved a hit, with it also marking the first time the trade body has delivered a standalone Flip evening in London.
The Career Development Networking Event took place on March 29th on board the Hispaniola Boat on the River Thames at Embankment.
Eric Huang, publishing director, media and entertainment at Penguin Books, proved a popular speaker, drawing on his career of over 15 years in publishing to give advice on how to succeed in international licensing.
"We were delighted with the number of people attending the Flip networking event in London last week, an ideal start for 2012," said Saphia Maxamed, head of the UK Flip programme. "For the first time ever in London we were able to successfully deliver a standalone Flip networking evening.
"We had an excellent response from attendees from different sides of the industry including licensors, licensees and retailers which is a great achievement.
"At LIMA, one of our main missions is to educate professionals about the licensing industry and to support people throughout their licensing careers from start to finish. Flip events are just part of our annual programme and our next Flip event will take place in the summer."
