As part of its ongoing global growth strategy, LazyTown has opened a dedicated UK office to look after the European brand and licensing business.
Based in New Bond Street, London, the office will provide direct support for agents and licensing partners throughout Europe and coordinating their activities. It will also work closely with all of the product development, marketing and PR teams responsible for LazyTown.
Katie Foster will head up the operation as director of brand and licensing for Europe. Foster has over 15 years experience in the licensing business, most recently as global licensing director at Granada Ventures and prior to that at Hit Entertainment and the BBC.
Foster will be supported by head of brand and licensing for Europe, Catrina Stock. She worked for Inspire GLG for two years as worldwide director of licensing for Boblins, a UK produced pre-school show.
Agust Freyr Ingason, executive VP of LazyTown, commented: "It is extremely important to LazyTown's roll out that we work strategically to provide the best team, support and opportunities for what we believe is the only brand dedicated to kids' health.
"So, we are delighted to announce this next phase of our European business strategy for LazyTown, and are very confident that in Katie and Catrina we have found the best possible team for the brand and for our European partners."
LazyTown is now shown in over 110 territories worldwide and has a nationwide live show currently touring across the UK.
