LeapFrog has partnered with Magic Light Pictures to offer the first Gruffalo content via the LeapFrog App Centre.
Aimed at kids aged three to seven, new content includes videos such as The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child which will both be available to watch on the LeapFrog family of tablets and LeapTV.
Written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffer, The Gruffalo is one of the nation’s favourite bedtime stories and the video adaptation features an all star cast such as Robie Coltrane as The Gruffalo, Helena Bonham carter as the narrator, Rob Brydon as the snake, James Corden as the mouse and John Hurt as the owl.
Both films are available now in LeapFrog’s library of games, apps and videos, all designed or approved by LeapFrog’s in house team of learning experts.
Gail Fisher, UK and EMEAA, content and licensing manager at LeapFrog, said: “The Gruffalo is one of children’s most recognisable and loved characters and we are delighted to bring him to life in our video library.
“We are committed to constantly delivering new and exciting licenses which will ultimately capture a child’s attention and imagination, and make learning fun.”
Daryl Shute, brand director at Magic Light Pictures, added: “We are very excited that LeapFrog has launched The Gruffalo, giving children another great way to enjoy watching their favourite story.
“It is wonderful to have the films available for download on such a high quality and educational platform, continuing to introduce them to new audience worldwide.”
