A range of toys from Lego celebrating the arrival of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides are already in stores ahead of the film's mid-week release on May 18th. The range includes eight play sets and 15 different Pirates minifigures.

Captain Jack himself was so pleased with the likeness of his own Lego man, that he asked to take the prototype home - Depp's input and approval was sought throughout the development of the minifigure.

The hero product is a 1,000-piece model of the Queen Anne’s Revenge pirate ship (pictured), retaling at around £100.

The franchise has also been used to create a multi-platform Lego Pirates of the Carribean video game, made by the Warner owned game developer Traveller’s Tales.

Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides also stars Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane, who plays the infamous pirate Blackbeard.
