Licensing Asia 08 nears

Tokyo-based event aiming to showcase Japanese and international licensing content over three days.

Now in its seventh year, Licensing Asia is again readying to open its doors on November 12th to 14th at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center.

Sponsored by trade body LIMA and organised by Nikkei, the show will see 86 companies exhibiting, with an expected audience of 9,000 visitors. The likes of Sega, Smiley World, United Media, Pingu's English, Namco Bandai, Tomy, The Licensing Company and V&A Enterprises will all be supporting the show with a booth.

This year's event will also feature the largest every Creator's Gallery, which will include original works by 35 up and coming creators.

In addition, a comprehensive seminar program covering key areas of the business will also be running. Three seminars will be simultaneously interpreted in English and Japanese on November 12th: Evolving Entertainment Licences in the New Consumption Era; Brand Extension Best Practice; and Licensing Market in China, Opportunities and Challenges.
