A trio of popular licensing executives went the whole distance and conquered the London Marathon to raise money for The Light Fund.
Tracey Devine (licensing and marketing director, KD UK), Nicola Webster (licensing manager, Walker Books) and Ezekiel Sweiry (MD, Fabric Flavours) hit the pavement to raise more than £6,700 for the chosen charity.
“It was an amazing day, the crowds were so uplifting and although it was hot, the weather helped too,” said Devine, who completed the run in five hours 28 minutes.
“It’s been an incredible journey and it’s true that a marathon is hundreds of miles and those last 26.2 are the victory lap.”
Webster, who pounded the pavement for five hours 22 minutes, added: “It was an incredible experience, the crowds were unbelievable and I got goosebumps running over Tower Bridge, the noise was overwhelming.
“Finishing on the mall was amazing and I am so grateful to everyone who has donated to The Light Fund, supported and cheered on the day, and listened to me talk about running for the past few months.”
Sweiry, who completed the track in five hours 21 minutes, summarized: “Sunday was awesome and the crowds were superb with so much heart. I would recommend this challenge to all licensees and licensors alike.”
