This October's Buybrand Expo in Moscow will play host to a new Licensing Salon, as the sector continues to attract strong interest within the territory.
The Buybrand Expo runs from October 2nd to 4th and is billed as one of the biggest business platforms in Eurasia. The exhibition is in the top five franchise events in the world, attracting more than 220 business concepts and over 8,000 investors.
The show organiser believes that Licensing Salon will become one of the key events in Eastern Europe, stating that almost all Buybrand Expo exhibitors are potential licensors and licensees from different sectors of business. These include fast food, retail and service chains.
"Lately big chains pay close attention to licensing," said Ekaterina Soyak, the exhibition organiser. "Licensing in Russia is at the dawn of its development and is among perspective marketing directions with prognoses of 15 to 20 per cent annual growth.
"There are a few licensing events that take place in Moscow already, but they are mostly local and concentrated around the market of child's goods and services.
"Our Licensing Salon will be oriented on various types of business, such as publishing, entertainment, fast food, retail and others."
