All UK home entertainment and worldwide television distribution rights for The Likeaballs are now being handled by Hit Entertainment.
The company revealed the deal with Animated Adventures & Pictures at Mipcom.
The Likeaballs is the official cartoon of the Premier League are a team of cool, footy mad, ball shaped aliens. Their passion, says the strapline, is football, their motto is teamwork.
The first series was launched on BBC last year and since then it has enjoyed runs on BBC1, BBC2 and CBBC. The series will make its UK DVD debut in early 2008, with Hit handling the distribution.
"The Likeaballs is a perfect addition to our existing portfolio of pre-school and young children's programming, being a richly-written, action-packed show about football and humour that communicates directly with its audience," explained Alison Homewood, executive VP of worldwide television at Hit.
"The fact that this is endorsed by the Premier League backs this up and will add that extra 'cool' element for audiences worldwide."
Jim Quick, creative director of AAP and creator of the series, added: "We are also taking The Likeaballs global; through our partnership with Hit, the Likeaballs will travel from the UK to the waiting worldwide audience."
