The UK division of industry trade body LIMA has surged through the 100 member mark for the first time in five years - with MD Kelvyn Gardner now setting his sights on overall membership of 250.
New members have been coming on board steadily since August, with the newcomers representing a broad spectrum of the licensing industry.
Art Ask Agency, Blueprint, Chapman Entertainment, Global Sports Licensing, JCB Consumer Products, Intelligence and Investigation Services - IP Crime Unit, Sagoo, Shipley, The Extreme Sports Company and V&S Entertainment are the most recent additions.
"Our vision is to make JCB as well-known as a consumer brand as it is in construction," explained John Atkinson, business development director at JCB. "Joining LIMA means that we will have access to networking opportunities, events, information and support. We will also be able to tap into their international network, particularly in growing markets such as India, which are key to our ambitions."
Kelvyn Gardner, MD of LIMA UK, added: "As the largest licensing market outside the US and Japan, our long-term aim is to achieve a membership of 250, so this is really good news.
"We're particularly pleased that new members have come from all sides of the industry and also from different product categories, as we aim to represent a broad spectrum of licensing. We will be continuing our recruitment work and also continuing to review and expand our benefits package to ensure it is in line with members' needs."
