Provider of distance and classroom language training solutions, the Linguaphone Group has revealed more licensing partners for its character-based pre-school English language programme, Pingu's English.
Apple Tree has signed up as the master licensee for Singapore, with the firm planning to launch its first Pingu's English programme in July.
In addition, entrepreneur Theo Wessels has secured the exclusive rights in South Africa. He will be promoting the programme through existing pre-schools, community organisations and book stores from May onwards.
Wessels will target, among others, children previously excluded from learning English in South Africa.
In addition, Linguaphone's Direct English partner in Egypt, Egyptian American Cultural Center, has picked up the exclusive rights for the country.
The company is planning to open its first two Pingu's English Schools in Alexandria and Port Said in May, with more planned across Egypt over the summer.
"We are delighted that partners from all corners of the globe are responding positively to Pingu's English and joining out expanding family of Linguaphone Group partners," said Derek Price, COO of Linguaphone. "We look forward to working with them and many others in the months and years ahead."
