Little Britain USA debuts
PPC Enterprises has recently acquired the rights to the Little Britain brand, including Little Britain Classics, and with a new series of Little Britain USA now on air, the firm is hoping to see a significant lift in the licensing programme.
David Walliams and Matt Lucas have developed a host of new American characters to join old favourites such as Vicky Pollard and Marjorie Dawes. These include retired astronaut Bing Gordyn, the first man on the moon with a moustache, and pumped up bodybuilders Tom and Mark.
Guest stars in the new series include Rosie O'Donnell and Sting, while Friends star David Schwimmer has directed some of the sketches.
PPCE legal and commercial director Mark Hurry believes that the show is sure to have a massive impact.
"Little Britain is a fantastic brand and it is a privilege to represent the rights to this hilarious new series," he said. "The show is going to be huge around the world and we are looking forward to extending and renewing licensing agreements with existing Little Britain partners, as well as entering into agreements for new licensed products across all genres."
