UK kids festival Lollibop has added a new book area for 2014, supported by Ladybird and Puffin.
Lollibooks will form a key part of the three-day event - which takes place from August 15th to 17th at Hatfield House.
Activity will include a sneak peak into the chaotic life of Dennis the Menace, with an appearance from Steven Butler, the author of Diary of Dennis the Menace. The Tale of Peter Rabbit will also be brought to life, while there will be numerous storytelling activities featuring pre-school favourite Spot the Dog.
Ladybird Live, meanwhile, will be a series of events to promote and celebrate the joy of storytelling for pre-schoolers and parents. Bespoke activities will include professional storytelling, expert advice for parents and arts and crafts that encourage children to engage with the stories and enter a world of imagination and fun.
"Ladybird and Puffin are delighted to be bringing a whole host of magical storytelling events to this year's Lollibop Festival," said Adele Minchin, publicity director at Penguin Children's. "We look forward to welcoming families to join in all the fun of reading for pleasure and meeting many much-loved characters."
The Lollibooks zone will also feature a Lolli Library. In addition, returning for a third year, is the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre.
Festival director, Gareth Cooper, added: "Lollibooks is set to become one of the most loved areas of the festival, all set in the beautiful gardens of Hatfield House. It's perfeect too for mums and dads who might like to take somet ime out from the madness of the rest of the festival."
