Lunartics makes US move

Creative Brands Group to work on building growing US presence for character-based firm.

Lunartics is to be represented by Creative Brands Group in North America.

The Lunartics are 147 unique characters, which live in a special moon world, and are aimed at seven to 12 year-old boys.

Recent investments in the brand have seen the development of licensed product through Keyscaper and Funky Pigeon.

Simon Harris, MD of Lunartics, commented: "Last year in LAs Vegas - our first year of exhibiting at Licensing International - has shown that the potential for Lunartics in the North American market is monstrous.

"The appointment of CBG in this highly important territory for us is a great leap forward for the Lunartics brand. CBG's background, approach to licensing, portfolio, understanding and, most importantly, great enthusiasm for Lunartics is something that we are very comfortable with."

Based in San Jose, Creative Brands Group works with a mix of clients including Kitson, Glamajama and Beverly Hills High School.

Tara Sinclair, director of licensing for CBG, said: "This unique and refreshing brand will ignite a child's imagination as we develop Lunartics in North America."

Lunartics will be working with CBG to finalise a number of ongoing licensing, media and publishing conversations at this year's Licensing International in June.
