Popular children’s property, Super Wings is taking flight across Germany as m4e AG is named the brand’s new licensing agent within the territory.
The firm will take over licensing and merchandising for the animated pre-school series from South Korean company FunnyFlux.
Activity within the German speaking territories will kick off with the launch of a toy line from Alpha Toys, landing in Germany, Austria and Switzerland midway through next year.
Meanwhile, German kids’ channel KIKA is planning to broadcast the series in a prime time slot in early 2017.
“Super Wings has all the important ingredients to succeed and is a very promising property based on the high toy sales from markets such as France, Spain and Italy,” said Judith Boehnke, m4e’s licensing manager.
“The prime time broadcast slot on KIKA offers the ideal conditions for this action-packed pre-school brand to establish itself in the German speaking markets.”
Super Wings follows the adventures of Jett, a jet plane that travels the world delivering special packages to children.
Since its 2014 debut on EBS, the series has been sold to more than 40 countries worldwide, including the US where its toy line will launch this October.
