Mag boost for Gormiti

New bi-monthly publication moves popular boy brand into yet another licensed category.

The next stage in the licensing programme for boys' property Gormiti will see a dedicated bi-monthly magazine hit shelves from this month.

With a print run of 60,000, the 48-page title will include editorial, comic adventures, puzzles and competitions. It will retail for £3.99.

"Gormiti lends itself to a boys' magazine perfectly with its tales of adventure and fantasy," said Graziano Delmaestro, licensing director at Preziosi Group. "We feel that we have been able to capture precisely the spirit of the brand and, as new toys and figures are launched, the magazine will reflect this.

"In doing this, we can be sure to give loyal fans exactly what they want whilst also attracting new collectors, too."

Anne-Marie Noon, Gormiti brand manager at Flair, added: "This exciting development will open up a host of new opportunities for Gormiti. Issue one draws much of its inspiration from the series two range of characters, also adding Atomic artwork to celebrate the simultaneous release of the Atomic range of toys in the UK. There will also be a series two dedicated covermount and an activity book drawing artistically from each of the series to date; the timing could not be more perfect."
