Science Museum Group brands has teamed with East Yorkshire microbrewery, Wold Top Brewery, to create a special 75th celebration ale for the Mallard.
The anniversary marks 75 years of the Mallard breaking the world speed record for a steam locomotive - a record that it still holds, despite several locomotives' attempts to break it.
The launch of the premium ale coincided with the start of the Mallard 75 Celebrations last week, which saw 13,000 rail fans queuing on the first day and rocketing sales of the beer at the on-site store.
"We are delighted that Wold Top Brewery has licensed the Mallard brand and joins the roster which will help fund our ongoing programmes at the National Railway Museum," said Gemma Woodward, licensing manager at SMGE.
Mallard Premium Beer is available from the National Railway Museum and selected partner outlets and on draught in pubs and hotels throughout Yorkshire and nationwide.
