Marvel Comics to unite all versions of Spider-Man in 'Spider-Verse'

Marvel Comics is launching 'Spider-Verse' this November, a story featuring every version of Spider-Man in comic book history.

'Spider-Verse' will see the different Spideys team up to defeat a villain who is killing anyone with a spider logo on their chest.

The story will kick off in November, in Amazing Spider-Man #9, by writer Dan Slott and artist Olivier Coipel, but fans will get an early taste of 'Spider-Verse' in the Amazing Spider-Man #1, launching in April.

"The scope of this event is so big, the word 'epic' just doesn't do it justice," said Nick Lowe, editor of the Spider-Man books.

"The story is just huge and heartbreaking and has necessitated spreadsheets to organise all the Spider-Men. Luckily we have a writer who has proven time and time again he can thread impossible story-needles and the most versatile character artist in the business."
