MarVista Entertainment has acquired the worldwide distribution rights from Asahi Production for the action-adventure animated series, Heroes: Legend Of The Battle Disks.

The company will debut Heroes: Legend Of The Battle Disks at this year’s upcoming MIP Junior show.

Heroes: Legend Of The Battle Disks is directed by Masahiro Hosoda (Dragonball Z The Movie, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh) and written by Junki Takegami (Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh, Power Rangers) with character designs by Yoshihiro Nagamori (Bakugan, Yu-Gi-Oh, Beyblade).

“MarVista continues its commitment to making an impact on children’s programming with superb content,” said Fernando Szew, CEO of MarVista Entertainment.

“Heroes: Legend of the Battle Discs was written, directed and produced by a top caliber team with a solid track record of delivering top quality and hugely successful programming in this genre of boys action adventure, and we look forward to debuting it to potential partners at MIP Jr.”

Hiroaki Taneoka, producer on Heroes: Legend of Battle Disks, added: “With MarVista’s exceptional global footprint and expertise in the distribution of boy’s action series, we are excited to partner with Fernando and his team to bring our engaging and visually captivating adventure series to young audiences around the world."

Heroes: Legend Of The Battle Disks follows a group living on Planet Aernia, home to an Academy that fosters and trains Heroes with the ultimate mission to fight against the evil Dark Desire.
