Masha and the Bear is heading to the stage in a nw live show set to tour Italy this month.
Presented under its Italian name of Masha e Orso Live, the family show combines song, dance and and state-of-the-art digital technology to tell the story of Masha and her friend’s journey around the world to find Dasha, Tiger, Penguin, Panda and Santa Claus and invite them to Bear’s birthday party.
The show is touring Italy until May 2016, visiting cities including Naples, Bologna, Florence, Trieste and Milan as well as Lugano in Switzerland.
The 70-minute show has been created by Italian licensee EMA srl and will be managed by EMA Eventi.
“It is clear that the humour, charm and sense of fun that made Masha and the Bear such a hit with kids on TV make it ideal for a stage show," said Maurizio Distefano, founder and director of MD Licensing.
"EMA, with a powerful reputation for both creating and staging major shows for all ages, was the perfect choice to bring this delightful show to the Italian stage. We’re sure it will be a massive success.”
EMA's Edoardo Lombard added: “Bringing this wonderful TV series to the stage has been a true delight: the characters, the humour and the visual appeal of Masha and the Bear make it ideal for a fast-moving show full of songs, dances and fun that both children and adults will adore.”
