Mattel has hired former Disney licensing exec Jessica Dunne as general manager and senior vice president for consumer products.

Dunne was formerly Disney’s exec VP for licensing for Disney Classic Characters and Disney Baby, as well as exec VP for global licensing for Disney consumer products.

She will be based in the US and will be responsible for Mattel’s brand licensing, for properties including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Monster High, Fisher-Price and American Girl.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Mattel family," commented Dunne. "And I look forward to not only deepening mums' and kids' relationships with such household names as Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price and American Girl, but also cultivating and growing Mattel's up-and-coming brands and properties. This is certainly an exciting and dynamic time to be joining Mattel.”
