Mattel teams with Nickelodeon for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mega Bloks

Mega Brands is preparing to launch a new collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles construction toys.

In an extension of the licensing partnership between Mattel and the popular children’s network Nickelodeon, the new line will debut later today at the New York Toy Fair.

Fans of Nickelodeon’s leading action franchise can expect the new products to hit shelves in 2016.

The new Mega Bloks product line will allow fans of the pizza-loving quartet to build and collect a range of sets, vehicles and buildable micro action figures.

The firm will also introduce junior building sets.

“Mega Bloks TMNT will be an anchor brand in our construction portfolio and we plan to infuse the line with exciting product innovation to ensure the most engaging consumer experiences for fans worldwide.”

Manuel Torres, senior vice president, global toys and publishing at Nickelodeon Consumer Products, added: “The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are bigger and greener than they have ever been, and we are incredibly excited to partner with Mega Brands on the new Turtles construction toy lines.

“Bringing together Nickelodeon’s Turtles and Mega Bloks will give kids of all ages endless hours of creativity an fun building, playing and displaying the sets, buildable figures and vehicles based on their favourite characters.”
