Martha Stewart Living has revealed a 13 per cent increase in revenue for its third quarter, lead by a strong publishing performance and the continued roll out of merchandising.

The company reported revenue of $69.3 million for the third quarter of 2007. Revenues in publishing for the period rose 27 per cent to $46.2m, with the sector experiencing an increase in advertising revenue, as well as rolling out two new cookbooks.

Merchandising revenues were $11.0 million, which included input from new partnerships such as the Martha Stewart Collection – comprising bed and bath textiles, housewares and cookware - which launched exclusively in Macy’s in September, as well as the Martha Stewart Crafts line. A co-branded food line with Costco is on track to launch in early 2008.

MSO enjoyed a terrific third quarter and publishing performance and momentum in merchandising underscore the vibrancy of the Martha Stewart brand,” said Susan Lyne, president and CEO.
