Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products has appointed Gavin Metcalfe to the newly created position of vice president for international home entertainment.
Based in London, Metcalfe will report to Jean-Philippe Randisi, senior VP and MD for Canada, Europe & Latin America, and Sherice Torres, senior VP of global home entertainment and music (NVCP).
Also newly appointed to director of international home entertainment in London is Duncan Hamilton, who will report directly to Metcalfe.
In the new role, Metcalfe - who was previously senior director of international home entertainment at Hit - will be responsible for managing one of Viacom's most profitable global retail businesses, the home entertainment portfolio.
He oversees MTV Network's international home entertainment across children, youth and adult brands including Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, MTV and Comedy Central.
"The continued development of our international home entertainment business is an integral component of our overall NVCP strategy, providing engaging, tailored viewing experiences for our audiences and crucial synergies at retail," explained Randisi. "Gavin and his team are extremely talented licensing executives and will help shape the next phase of our global home entertainment growth."
