41 Entertainment and Arad Animation have signed MGA Entertainment as the exclusive worldwide master toy partner for upcoming Netflix show Kong: King of the Apes.
The product line will include figures, electronic and action plush, playsets, vehicles, games (electronic and non-electronic) and learning aid toys.
“MGAE is an extremely creative company that will design and produce a full line of Kong products and dinosaurs, in electronic and non-electronic form, for a worldwide audience," said Avi Arad, CEO of Arad.
Isaac Larian, president and CEO of MGAE added: “We were attracted to this great brand because of its iconic nature, Avi’s great story-telling and designs and the power of Netflix as a platform. We are excited to design and produce a strong product line for 2016.”
Adds Allen Bohbot, managing director of 41E, said: “We are very pleased to bring on board the great creativity and talents of MGAE.
"We have a full licensing programme planned and the market response has been great. We look forward to introducing more Kong elements in a major way at the Las Vegas Licensing Show in June.”
